4 Year Photos Debacle
funny story... tonight we are getting the kids pictures
taken with their cousin Jake... something we've never done, and something that Megan and I have had
on the calendar since like September of last year... this morning, Grandma Sally dropped
the kids off at school for us, and they accidentally forgot their backpacks...
so, Sally goes back to our house and gets the backpacks, takes them back to
school, and by the time she had gotten back my kids hair was green and pink.
Yes, you read that correctly, THEIR HAIR IS GREEN AND PINK! It's "Crazy
Day" at school, which I knew, but must not have read the description of
everything that would be happening on said Crazy Day in the flyer from the
school. I thought we'd just dress them in mis-matched clothes (like that is
really any different from any other day) and have Rob actually fix
their hair (which we all know would end up looking crazy). What the school doesn't
realize, is that every day is "Crazy Day" for the Sanders, and this
is just a minor road bump for us... SO, Happy Friday everyone, and when
something goes wrong in your schedule today think of my story and hopefully it
will make you smile :-)

Is it Spring?
Yesterday, March 10, it got up to 79 degrees outside. After the winter we have had with a lot of negative temperatures and I lost count of how many times it snowed, we were SO excited to get the kids OUTSIDE! Plus the time change was just on Sunday, so we actually had some good time after work.
I picked the kids up from school and we went to Doozle's for some frozen custard. It was pretty yummy!
Then when Rob got home from work the kids rode their bikes to the end of the street and back, then they played in the back yard a bit.

Our very first bikes!
We got our very first bikes for our birthday from Grandma and Grandpa Sanders at our birthday party over the weekend. We couldn't wait to ride them around, so here we are going in circles at our birthday party!
Roller coaster car ride
Every time we come home from school, the kids love this one hill we go down and they started putting up their hands and yelling "woo hoo" when we go down it. I don't know where they got the roller coaster affect with the hands, but it's hilarious!
Doing somer saults
Last Friday night at Gigi and B-paw's house we all took turns doing somer saults. We even captured Jake's first attempt at one!
4th Birthday Fun!
Well the 4th birthday activities have come to an end...
Thursday on their actual birthday Rob and I took off of work and spent the day with the kids. We went to lunch at McDonalds and played on the playland. They had fun playing for a couple of hours and grandma stopped by for a quick visit. That night we want to Disney on Ice. We had a big group there, Grandma went with us, Paula, Sammi and Jillian Schreck were there too! It was a lot of fun and we had great seats.
Friday they had a little celebration at school for their birthday. Rob and I went to the KC Hall and decorated for the party and just had a nice day together. That evening, we went over to Gigi and B-Paw's for dinner. Aunt Jane, David, Lindsay, Brad, Rylan and Kennedy were all in town for the birthday party and Kennedy's baptism on Sunday. Megan, Dave and Jake were also there for the fun.
Saturday was the big event. We had a big birthday party at the KC Hall in Florissant and a lot of our friends and family came. Rapunzel and Flynn Ryder even made an appearance! The kids weren't really sure what to think about them and it took a while for them to warm up, but it was a fun time.
